Description
1964 Ford Fairlane 500. The car was restored in 2003/2004. The car has been taken care of extremely well since then as evidence by the pictures. Door Data Plate: Body 65A, Color F, Trim 62, Date 08L, DSO 26, Axle 1, Trans 4. Original C code 289 car which has been rebuilt, bored .30 over, 10:1 compression pistons, enlarged valves, 4bbl Autolite 4100 carb, chrome HiPo valve covers, chrome HiPo air cleaner assembly, mild cam, Petronics ignition, HiPo headers and custom dual exhaust. C4 automatic with mild shift kit. The car was originally Guardsman Blue and was repainted the correct Guardsman Blue. THE BODY AND PAINT ARE STUNNING! The chrome is near perfect. The stainless is nice but does have some wear. All emblems, badges, front fender ornaments and FORD letters are present. The interior was redone with the addition of a Tach on the dash. No rips or tears on the seats, door panels or dash pad. The headliner is in excellent condition. The interior courtesy light works. The horn works. The windows roll up and down as they should. It has the correct AM radio which works. All of the exterior lights work. Inside I can tell you that the right turn signal indicator does not flash and there are one or two back lights on the dash that do not work. The gas gauge does not work. The car has 4 wheel manual drum brakes. Power steering. 14 Torque Thrust wheels. I replaced the spark plugs with correct plugs, replaced the fuel filter and installed the correct canister, replaced the spark plug wires with correct wires and replaced the air filter with a correct filter. The car needs tires. It drives great and gets compliments every time I take it out. The car has won trophies at every car show it has been to. True mileage is unknown.
