Description

Big! Blue!! Beautiful!!! Buick!!!! 1969 Buick Electra 225 Convertible, 430 cubic inch V8, automatic with ice-cold air conditioning just converted to HFC 134-A (no more being held hostage by the EPA looking for R-22). Older restoration with refresh just completed. All numbers are matching with the exception of the left side exhaust manifold that was just replaced. I had the original Rochester Quadrajet carb rebuilt by Sparky (the ace Classic Carb rebuilder) and she runs as new with a fully functional choke. New radiator, power steering pump, spark plugs, wires, points, and harmonic balancer finishes off the engine compartment which has been detailed to look pristine. The convertible top hydraulic motor was just replaced and the top functions as new. I removed the fuel tank and cleaned out the junk and replaced the fuel sending unit, and the original hub caps have been replaced by hard-to-find period steel rally wheels and center caps; the original hub caps and steel wheels are in the trunk. This is a real head-turner and while the top and the body have minor imperfections, I would give both a solid 9 / 10 with the mechanicals a 9.5 / 10. From an era when General Motors still knew how to design cars. As rust free as you can get. Car is drivable and could be driven to its new home if you were not concerned about putting a bunch of miles on it.
