Description

1956 Chevy Belair 2DR Post: Body off restoration and complete rebuild. The frame has been sand blasted and painted. New TCI motor mounts have been installed. Complete front end rebuild including upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, complete tie rod ends replacement and idler arm. Steering box has been replaced with new Classic Performance Products 605 power steering box and rag joint. Brakes are four-wheel disc with cross-drilled, zinc washed rotors on front. Rear disc brakes include complete functioning parking brake assembly. The balance of the brake system includes a new disc/disc zinc coated master cylinder and 9 power booster. Other suspension modifications include: KYB nitrogen gas shocks on all four corners. Front and rear sway bars. Rear leaf springs have been professionally relocated in board to allow for larger rear tire / wheel combination. Planting this modern combination on the ground are 275/50R/17 new tires on 10 rims on the rear and 235/55R/17 new tires and 8rims on the front. The rims are new American Racing Torque Thrust II.The motor is a fresh (less than 250 miles) 383 stroker. This is a complete fresh rebuild with all new or recondition parts. Edelbrock performer intake with a new Edelbrock 650 cfm, electric choke carb. Headers are ceramic coated with 21/2 aluminized exhaust system. Transmission is a performance (redline clutches) rebuilt Turbo 350 with a new performance (1,800 rpm) torque converter All motor mounts and trans mounts are new. Rear axle is stock 56 Chevy rebuilt from lug nuts to yoke using 355 to 1 ratio.Engine compartment is finished with billet pulleys and mounting brackets. Vintage Air Generation II air conditioning, four core aluminum radiator, auxiliary transmission cooler.Interior includes auxiliary gauges and tach, Flaming River polished tilt column with integral shifter and polished billet steering wheel. All factory gauges are operational and function properly. Radio is 270 watt AM/FM with Mp3 connection. Trunk sub-woofer unit has additional 250 watt amp with two 10 speakers. Rear 6X9 are in back parcel shelf and front 4 1/2 speakers with built in tweeters are nicely tucked behind stock air vent grilles. This gives clean lines to the door panels. Seat belts are new and driver and passenger are three point harness. Anchorâ??s for seat belts are custom hand built plates with nuts welded onto plates.
