Description
The B-series trucks featured a high-visibility "pilot-house" cab with optional rear quarter-windows. The redesigned cab could seat three people. The cab was mounted on rubber mounts for an improved ride. Another innovation for the time was the use of a cross-steering arrangement, giving the trucks a 37-degree turning radius. The cargo box space was increased over previous models, and overload springs were made optional on all variants to increase hauling capacity. This example has only 2000 miles since a complete restoration to show quality. It features a rebuilt Flathead 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual freshly synchronized transmission with a new clutch. It also has upgraded front disc brakes, oak bed stained black, rare dual horns, original air and oil filters, and a vintage oil bath. It has all-new brakes, bearings in rear end, new glass and seals. The body and frame was bead-blasted, sealed with epoxy primer and then finished. It has a new 12-volt wiring system and factory original stainless grille bars. Interior features include rare and reupholstered factory vented pressure-controlled seat, customized factory working gauges and the factory-original spare tire carrier. It has a working factory-optional heater, spotlight, factory mirrors, bumpers and brackets as well as new tires and gas tank.
