Description
1966 Pontiac Gto 4-speed tri-power with PHS documentation. Very original car. Car is very nice for the age. Previous owner told me that the car was frame on restored about 10 years ago and only driven about 5000 miles since then. The paint is starting to show its age, it is nice driver quality but has some imperfections here and there. The car appears to be very straight down the sides. The floor of the car is very nice, rust free, no repairs or patches. The trim tag says the car was originally Y2 Candlelite Cream with 223 Black Interior. The interior appears to be mostly original. The carpeting looks new. The drivers seat has a seam separating, check pictures. The rest of the interior looks very nice including the dash and gauges. Everything works inside except the radio, it only crackles, it is over 50 years old. The hurst 4-speed shifter looks good and very original. The original steering wheel has some cracks in it but still looks good. Overall I would say the interior is very nice for a car this age. Mechanically the car runs and drives great. The tripower engine purrs like it should. The car still retains points in the distributor, never been upgraded. The engine is a 1967 400, 325Hp. This is not the original engine. Heads are cast 15, 1967 heads also. The tri-power setup according to the casting numbers is a 1966 Gto tri-power believed to be original to the car. The muncie 4-speed and the rear end are also believed to be original according to the casting numbers. The rear end is a 336 Posi. Rides and drives tight, no rattles. Nice tires. Very nice original rally wheels.
