Description
1967 Plymouth HEMI GTX. Beneath the twin scoop performance hood lies the famous 426 street hemi that packed 425 horsepower. This car is 1 of only 733 produced with this high performance nascar race motor for 1967. And 1 of only 312 built backed with the 4 speed manual transmission !!!! The Hemi cars came with dual 4 barrel carbs, dual exhaust, and a special hemi upgraded suspension. This car is also equipped with power steering and power brakes. This car drives and handles so nice you would never expect that monster motor was under the hood. Correct dual 4 barrel AFB carbs feed the 425 horse motor. This is backed by the A833 4-speed transmission and a sure-grip equipped Dana 60 rear end. The car wears the correct magnum 500 chrome wheels covered in the correct style red line radial tires that are like new. The car has gone thru a complete top to bottom restoration and is absolutely stunning. The black interior is beautiful. Gauges look like new. Everything works like it should . The interiors in these GTX s were really high quality and upscale. The exterior is just as stunning as the interior. Very straight and a high gloss base coat / clearcoat professional paint job. All the body trim, grille, rear finish panels are all very nice. All the glass is crystal clear. The color on this car is the original hue and really stands out in the sun. This is a high performance car with a lot of class !!! Lift the hood and you see a beautifully detailed and gleaming engine compartment. From the chrome air cleaner to the wrinkle finished valve covers and the correct style battery. Its impressive. The trunk area is also fully detailed with the restored jack, spare, and trunk mat. The inner 1/4 panels have the orig mopar sound deadening material sprayed on them. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt along with the rear axle with the restoration. The car runs and drives excellent. It's very well sorted out. It has great driveability with good cold start up and a nice idle when warmed up. The motor pulls hard and transmission shifts perfect on acceleration. Brakes work perfect along with the parking brake and its warning light. With the quality of the restoration and a 88,000 mile car, it really drives like a new, 1967 automobile. The car has not been out in the rain and stored indoors always.
