1961 Chevrolet Corvette 4-Speed

This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is one of 10,939 cars produced in 1961 and is equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission and its original 283ci V8. It been driven about 3k miles over the last decade and has been fitted with new carpets, a Hurst shifter, a 4bbl Edelbrock carburetor, and four-wheel disc brakes installed by Guldstrand Motorsports in 2007. Various small chips are noted, and some misalignment can be seen on the cove outline trim. Steel wheels have a custom offset and were installed at the time of the disc brake conversion. Factory spinner hubcaps remain in place. A matching factory hardtop is included in the sale. Interior finishes present well, and the dash pad remains intact. Carpeting was replaced in 2015, and a Hurst Competition shifter has been installed in place of the original item. Some looseness and can be seen in the seat upholstery, and cushions show some flattening. Engine #1109946 is shown above and matches the last six digits of the VIN tag shown in the gallery.
