Description

This 1973. These half-year models were the last iteration of the pre-impact bumper 911 and featured Bosch CIS injection as well as extended rubber bumperettes. Recent mechanical work includes a high-compression rebuild of its 2. The resulting finish is shown under indoor and outdoor lighting conditions along with a chipped ding in the hood acquired after the repaint. New exterior seals, trim, and decklid lettering were installed at the time of painting. Black and silver Fuchs wheels wear older BFGoodrich rubber. The interior has been refurbished with replacement original door panels and pockets along with fresh carpeting throughout, including in the front trunk. The rear seats have been reupholstered, while front buckets show some upper bolster wear in photos. The large factory wheel remains in place along with other stock controls aside from an aftermarket shift knob. The factory radio has been replaced with a modern unit linked to speakers placed behind the map pockets. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles. The 2. 4-liter flat-six was removed and rebuilt in January 2017 with JE high-compression pistons, a polished crankshaft, new bearings, and Parkerized 911E cams. Cylinder heads were refreshed with new valves and guides, while new timing chains and rails were installed along with Carrera chain tensioners. Dual 40mm PMO carburetors have replaced the original Bosch CIS fuel injection setup, which is also included in the sale. An in-line fuel pressure gauge is also present. A new starter was installed and ignition is from a MSD 6AL box, Pertronix pick-up, and new Bosch 911S distributor. The engine can be seen idling and being revved in the video above. Cosmetic updates include powder-coated tins, Turbo valve covers, and new plate covers. Various surfaces have been freshened, repainted or polished and the engine bay soundproofing pad is new. A number of photos are included to show the rebuilt engine prior to reinstallation. Shifting is via a 5-speed manual transmission. A new clutch kit and rear main seal were installed during the engine rebuild along with engine and transmission mounts. Suspension benefits from new rear radius arm bushings and Bilstein HD shocks at all four corners. Brakes received rebuilt calipers, stainless hoses, and new galvanized hard lines throughout. A 19mm brake master cylinder has been fitted and the pedal cluster was rebuilt with bronze bushings. The car comes with original purchase literature including the key card, manuals, and warranty booklet. A tool kit is also included as is the CIS injection setup mentioned above
