1949 Mercury 72

1949 Mercury 72 Lead Sled 1949 Mercury 72 Lead Sled. Deep Maroon/Maroon and White interior. Underneath, the frame was powder-coated and "C" notched at the rear. The "A" arms were shortened 2" and the car has power-assisted disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear. There are sway bars front and rear along with a power-assisted Borgeson Mustang steering box. The chassis was completed with a RideTech "Shock Wave" air suspension front and rear. Under the hood is a rebuilt Ford 351C motor with Kal Kustom valve covers, Cadillac-style air clearer, polished AC pump, polished alternator, polished overflow tank, polished power steering reservoir, a custom air deflector cover in front of the radiator, and a custom made fan shroud. Also rebuilt are the Ford automatic overdrive transmission and a Ford 9" rear end.
