Description
Body The starting point of the build was a truck that was full of body work. It was decided to discard most of the original body and utilize just the stripped out cab. Work was completed at Oddball Customs in Canada. The body is all sheet metal no glass or mud. The hood and inner structure have been reshaped. Paint used was Glazurit. There is a subtle 2 inch chop to the roof. the rear window is from a larger 56 F-100. Drip rails have been shaved as have the door handles, body vents. Seams are all filled custom inner fender wells were fabricated. Flat running boards, and hidden hinges are just a couple more of the subtle body mods. The bed is completed in white ash wood. Chassis: I find the chassis to be a work of art. One off customer frame designed and built by TCI Engineering utilizing 2X8 inch rectangle steel stock. The cross member, and ladder style frame connectors use perfect finish welds. Curry 9 inch rear end with a 3:70 cogs suspended by a combination stainless four link with matching Panhard and Anti Roll Bars. Ride Tech Shockwaves are found all around. Electronically controlled airbag system is functional and allows the truck to lay frame. Braking is completed by 12 inch Wilwood rotors and four piston calipers. Power rack and pinion steering. Interior: the interior futures a shaved stock dash board, Dakota Digital gauges. Vintage ac system is housed in the console as is the controls for the air suspension. The door panels and seats are covered with tan/ brown leather. the seats are modified 2010 Ford F150 power units. Carpet is Wilton Wool. Audio system is Planet Audio head unit with JL speakers. All working properly. Motor and Transmission: Newly installed Roush 347R crate motor backed up by a Ford AOD transmission with a Hughes Performance torque converter.
