Description
Eddie Bello Racing built the turbocharged 3. Approximately $100k in modifications were reportedly performed starting in 2006, including the engine and transmission builds, and the car has been driven roughly 2k miles in aggregate since that work began. The black paint looks glossy in photographs and exhibits some wear on forward facing surfaces and the rear bumper. No evidence of any accidents or paintwork is apparent, and the slantnose conversion was performed sometime prior to 1996. The conversion included the addition of 964 bumpers, and custom touches have been added such as Euro headlamps, a smoked taillight lens that has a crack on the center-left side, yellow brake calipers, and a yellow Turbo logo on the engine hatch. Suspension components from a 1997 993 has been installed, and additional modifications include upgraded front and rear torsion bars, front and rear Weltmeister sway bars, a Weltmeister camber truss, and Bilstein shocks. Brembo brakes were added all around, and black powder coated 18â?³ Turbo Twist wheels are shod with Continental Extreme Contacts up front and Nitto NT555R II Extreme tires in rear. Inside, the black leather upholstery shows some wear on the bolsters and piping of the driverâ??s sport seat. The window motors have been replaced, and the dash appears free of any cracks. A 930S steering wheel has been fitted and shows some wear on the spokes. Other changes to the interior include yellow instrument bezels and the installation of an Alpine head unit, speakers, and an Escort Passport Solo S4 8500 radar detector. The speedometer and tachometer were replaced with correct VDO units, and an Innovate Motorsports boost gauge was added to the center console. The turbocharged 3. 3-liter flat-six was built by Eddie Bello Racing and shows custom yellow paint on the fan and some of the engine components. 39 ring and pinion gearsShort shift kitLightweight clutchTwin plug ignitionElectromotive engine management systemCustom headers and exhaust systemAfter speaking with several mechanics who have known the car, it is believed that the engine output is well over 600 hp, though no documentation or recent dyno report exists. The car starts, runs, and handles well, and was recently inspected by a Porsche specialty shop in Elmsford, New York. A few hand-written notes describing the modifications are included.
