Restored 1973 BMW 2002tii

This 1973 BMW 2002tii is an extremely original and stock round taillight version that has had recent restoration performed by some of the most knowledgeable marque specialists in Southern California. It is an original US Market 1973 BMW 2002tii in its original color scheme, Baikal Metallic Blue with Black interior. 2763678 spent itâ??s entire life in Southern California and most recently has been in storage for 12 years in a residential garage. He purchased the car nearly two years ago and began a meticulous restoration. He intended to give the car to his wife, but just as the restoration neared completion he found a 1971 cabriolet that he thought would make a better gift. He personally performed over 300 hours managing the restoration. All receipts for parts and work performed are available. It retains original California blue license plate (339 JFK) and consistent VIN documentation (VIN tag matches, body, engine, door sticker and steering column). When at all possible original parts to the car were used. The wheels are four new factory correct OEM original alloys and wear Vredestein tires. Front and rear light lenses are also new. All new OEM rubber gaskets were installed after the new paint including doors (L/R), front and rear windscreens, rear quarter window (L/R), trunk, and engine compartment. Reconditioned original door cards (4) (with no speaker holes)Trim and Chrome: All chrome and trim was refurbished with a combination of new OEM parts or original trim refinished by Speedway Metal Refinishing, Santa Ana, CA. Many stock components are still present including center console, seat belts, steering wheel, grills, trunk floorboards, jack, tool roll, engine, intake, 4-speed, differential and stock springs that still show color codes specific to a tii. Brakes have four new flex lines and new rear brake cylinders installed. All fluids flushed and refreshed including the brake system, cooling system, fuel system, tranny and differential. The radiator and gas tank were also flushed and shift bushings replaced. Bilstein shocks are likewise new. Personal inspection is highly encouraged. This car will be in Monterey during â??Car Weekâ?? from August 17-21 and is available for inspection at Legends of the Autobahn on Friday.
