1965 Griffith 400

This car was developed by Jack Griffith to beat Carroll Shelby's Cobra. The 305 hp 289 Ford V8 absolutely launches the 1800 lb car. Power to the ground through a T5 mustang Transmission mated with a Salisbury Jaguar rear end. Body: I cannot imagine how the car can look better. It is in superb condition. There are no flaws in the paint that I can find. Interior: The red and black interior is as new. Entirely redone around 2003. Everything works. Engine: The engine is a 305 HP 289 ford. It is the same exact engine as a Shelby Cobra. Pulled off of the the same assembly line. Transmission: The transmission is a Mustang T5. The transmission itself is the best I have ever driven. It is a phenomenally smooth shifting gearbox.
