Description

Finished in Aventurine Green over Classic grey, the car is equipped with a 5-speed manual transaxle and was optioned with sports shocks, upgraded air conditioning, supple leather seats, power sunroof, CD changer, and a cell phone. Over $20k has since been spent on service and detailing, including new crank seals, oil pan gasket, shifter bushings, alternator, ABS module, tires, paint correction, protective finish coatings, and more. Just 406 GTS models were produced for North America, and only 128 were equipped with a manual transaxle. Exterior changes from earlier 928s include flared rear quarter panels to accommodate larger rear wheels, Cup design side mirrors, a rear wing painted in exterior color, and a reflective red panel at the rear. The Aventurine Green Metallic (K6) finish received an extensive detail in 2015 that included paint correction, as well as Modesta and Opti-Guard protective coatings at a cost of nearly $2k. The engine and undercarriage also received a steam cleaning. The independent suspension utilizes double wishbones, coil springs, and an anti roll bar up front, as well as Weissach axle in the rear and optional sport shocks all around. Factory 17 Cup II wheels wear Continental tires that were installed this month. Inside, the Classic Grey seats were optioned with Supple Leather, and a factory cell phone is still in place. Aftermarket Coco mats have have preserved the carpets underneath, and the original optional velour floor mats are also included. The stock AM/FM cassette head unit was repaired in 2015 and is remotely linked to an optional 6-disc CD changer. The 5. 4-liter DOHC V8 features Bosch LH-Jetronic fuel injection and produced 345 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque when new. The car has been recently serviced by RS Werks in Delaware with new crank seals, oil pan gasket, power steering line, rear bushings, shifter bushings, shift coupler, air bag module, ABS module, and alternator. A new sports exhaust is included in the sale but has not been installed. The original bill of sale from December 1993 is also included along with a warranty voucher stamped by Momentum Porsche, business cards from the sales team, and period brochures. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms the colors and options, and the original purchase order shows an MSRP of $99,925. Filed under: 928, 928gts
