Description

Power is provided by a 3. 2-liter flat-six equipped with an X-Faktory ITB kit. This car was previously offered on BaT in October 2015, though it has since been substantially altered. These include new SSI headers, a ducktail spoiler, WEVO shifter, 16â?³ Fuchs-syle wheels, and WEVO engine mounts, and he also replaced the clutch, valve cover gaskets, and more. The car was recently repainted in light blue metallic at cost of $14k, which also included refinishing all of the black window trim. The finish holds a nice shine in photographs, and the car showed no signs of any accidents during the paint work. The suspension has been modified with Bilstein sport shocks and 930 sway bars, and the hubs and brakes were replaced with Porsche 930 components in the 1990s. The 16â?³ Fuchs replicas measure 7â?³ in width up front and 8â?³ in rear. The wheels wear Continental Extreme Contact tires and are mounted with 5mm spacers all around. The black interior has been recently refurbished with new leather upholstery on the seats, carpets with RS floor mats, and headliner. A WEVO 915 shifter and shift coupler were also added, and the front trunk carpets have been replaced. The VDO tach has been rotated so that the redline is at the vertical position. The 3. 2-liter flat-six is from a stock 1984 911 Carrera. An X-Faktory ITB kit has replaced the Weber carbs that were previously on the car and includes 42mm independent throttle bodies, manifolds, Weber style linkage, injectors, fuel lines, and Megasquirt ECU. An extra oil cooler was added in the front along with a GT3-style sport exhaust. The original 915 5-speed manual gearbox was rebuilt in 2009. Recent service includes a tune-up, oil/filter change with Brad Penn oil, and engine leakdown test all performed by from Engineered Automotive. The leakdown numbers are:Cylinder #1 â?? 1%Cylinder #2 â?? 6%Cylinder #3 â?? 5%Cylinder #4 â?? 3%Cylinder #5 â?? 1%Cylinder #6 â?? 2%A dynomometer test following the engine work shows the car achieved a max output of 184 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, though the Mustang dynamometer is reported to read approx 10-15% lower that Dynojet units in the area.
