Description
This 1972 Jaguar XKE Series III 2+2 Coupe is powered by a 5. 3L V-12 paired with an automatic transmission and shows 25k miles. A new water pump, belts, a re-cored radiator radiator recored with larger tuning, and new hoses, were all installed 500 miles ago in 2014. A handwritten logbook records service, mileage, and fill-ups over the life of the car. Much of the paint is believed to be original, and several small dings are noted around the car due to long-term storage in a Manhattan parking garage. The rear window seal was replaced, and the trim remains uninstalled, but is included in the sale. New tires were installed in 2014 and show around 500 miles of wear. One vinyl repair on the driver-side door card is mentioned. 24,823 miles are shown on the odometer, which is believed to be accurate. The rear hatch area shows a few small stains. Uninstalled rear window trims can be seen here. The floor conceals fifth wire wheel, jack kit, mallet, and brass spinner removal tool for the earless US-spec spinners. The 5. 3 Liter V-12 engine is fed with four Zenith carburetors and mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Power output was rated at 250 horsepower when new. In 2014, the cooling system was overhauled with a new water pump, hoses, and belts, and the radiator re-cored with larger-diameter copper tubing. Within the last 30 days, the brake servo and master cylinder were overhauled, and the brakes bled. Filed under: e type, e-type
