Description
This 1992 BMW M5 Touring is one of just 891 produced worldwide and is a model that was never offered in the United States. The car was built in early 1992 and is powered by a 3. 8L S38B38 inline-six mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A German Fahrzeugbrief and original BMW order sheet are included, and the odometer now shows 105k kilometers (~65k miles). They reportedly show less wear than expected for a 25 year old car. The Nurburgring package included ZF Servotronic vehicle-speed sensitive power steering, a 20mm rear anti-roll bar, and a control switch for the adaptive suspension. 179 wheels were a part of the optional Nurburgring package and standard on Touring models. They are mounted with BFGoodrigh G-Force Sport AS2 tires sized 235/45 up front and 255/40 in the rear. The interior features grey M-Tech cloth seats along with an /M shift knob and tri-spoke steering wheel. The interior fabric shows no signs of discoloration or tears, and the car is equipped with the rare sunroof delete option. An aftermarket Clarion radio has been fitted in place of the factory unit, though the original radio is included in the sale. All gauges are reported to be functional, with the odometer showing roughly 105k kilometers (~65k miles). All E34 Touring models were fitted with the 3. 8L S38B38 inline-six that produced 340 hp when new. Minimal service records are present, and the last service was performed by the previous dealer in Munich. The original purchase order is included in the sale along with a German Fahrzeugbrief. The car was imported to the US in May of 2017 through the 25 year import regulation, and it is sold with a clean Pennsylvania title. Filed under: 5 series, 5-series, e34, e34 m5
